Your Safety is Our
#1 Priority
Chikonto is built on trust. While we verify every profile, staying safe requires common sense and following our community safety protocols.
Meet in Public
Always arrange your first few meetings in busy, public locations like cafes, parks, or shopping centers during daylight hours.
Financial Security
Never send money electronically to someone you haven't met. Avoid "emergency" requests or unusual payment methods.
Protect Privacy
Keep your residential address and workplace private until you truly trust the person. Use the in-app chat for all early comms.
Trust Your Gut
If something feels "off" or too good to be true, it probably is. You are never obligated to continue a conversation or meeting.
Reporting & Blocked Conduct
When should I report someone?
Report immediately if someone requests money, sends harassing messages, uses fake photos, or behaves suspiciously.
Is reporting anonymous?
Yes. The reported user will never know who reported them. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 2 hours.
How do I block a user?
On every profile and in every chat window, there is a "Block" button. This prevents all future contact and hides your ads from them.
Emergency?
If you are in immediate danger or a victim of a crime, always contact local emergency services first (117 in CH, 110/112 in DE/AT).
